Booking is open to join The Word Crew autumn sessions!!! Everyone from 10-16 is welcome to join The Word Crew on first Saturday of each month here at Ledbury Poetry House. You can develop your writing with support from professional poetry teacher Sara-Jane Arbury.
Sessions coming up are on Sept 2nd, Oct 7th , Nov 4th, Dec 2nd

Ledbury Young Poets: Earthwords Competition Winners
Earthwords is the 2023 theme for Ledbury Poetry’s first ever dedicated Young Poets Competition, launched in partnership with Herefordshire Libraries! Ten winners have been selected (from 134 poems) by Ledbury Poetry Director, Chloe Garner and Librarian Amanda Simmons. WELL DONE and CONGRATULATIONS to all!
Come and hear them read at a special winners event at Ledbury Poetry Festival on Saturday 1 July, The Master’s House, Ledbury, 12pm – 1pm hosted by the Waterstone’s Children’s Laureate Joseph Coelho.

A LEVEL POETRY STUDY DAY at LEDBURY POETRY FESTIVAL
Ledbury Poetry Festival’s first A Level Poetry Study Day was a resounding success, featuring Tishani Doshi and Owen Sheers, who are both studied on the A Level syllabus. Esther Menon, Consultant & Principal Examiner for Pearson Edexcel, the exam syllabus studied for A Level English Poetry provided an interactive session on how to address the exams. Students also had an opportunity to workshop writing poetry in small groups with Ruth Stacey from The School of Humanities, University of Worcester

The Arts Award at Aconbury PRU
We are currently working with the amazing pupils at Aconbury Pupil Referral unit delivering the Arts award. The Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification supported by the Arts Council of England and Trinity College London which allows participants to discover and work with their creativity. We are grateful to our funders the Arts Award access fund and the Eveson Trust to deliver these sessions.
