Join Angela France for a workshop series to improve your poetry. Sessions will alternate between development classes, and critique workshops.
Begins March 2024, first Tuesday of the month: 5 March, 2 April, 7 May, 4 June, 1 July (format TBC), 5 August, 3 September, 1 October, 5 November.
Development sessions will include discussions on craft, technique and form as well as studying contemporary poets to see what may be learned from them.
Critique workshops are invaluable to any writer; they provide your first readers and will be a source of honest, but always constructive, feedback on your work.
Angela France’s fifth collection Terminarchy came out in 2021 with Nine Arches Press. Angela teaches creative writing at the University of Gloucestershire and for Oxford University’s continuing education programme, as well as in community settings. She leads the longest running reading series in Cheltenham, ‘Buzzwords’.
The charge will be per session so that you can join us for as many or as few as you like. £20 per session (bursary places available, please email sabeen.chaudhry@ledburypoetry.org.uk – these are priced at £12 per session)
