During Ledbury Poetry Week, TAKE 4 Gallery is inviting 70 amateur and professional artists to give their take on the beautiful historic town, capturing a 2D response in their chosen medium. Prizes will be awarded by a panel of judges, including Sir Roy Strong and Sarah Hilary, with the overall winner receiving £500!

Rules and conditions
- Entry fee £20.00 to be paid in advance by midnight Friday 30th June (extended deadline).
- Limited to 100 entrants.
- Judges in 2023 include Sir Roy Strong and Sarah Hilary and four other practitioners who will be visiting you and seeing your practice throughout the day.
- Turn up with your blank canvas or surface and your kit (including your easel if you have one) at Ledbury Market Hall in the time slot you selected to check in (Early Birds 8-9am or Later 9-10am). Get your canvas/ surface stamped & numbered on the reverse. Please place your signature on the back of your surface and not the front.
- We will provide you with a detailed map of the area and please feel free to explore within a two mile radius.
- If you would like to sell your work, tell us the price when you hand it back in.
- The entries will then form a selling exhibition and judged. Prize winners will see a rosette on their piece when the exhibition opens at 4pm.
- The selling exhibition is then open to the public for all to enjoy from 4.00 to 5.30.
- Only artwork started and completed on the day will qualify and entrants must be 16yrs +.
- Artwork can be in any medium & a maximum size of A2 however we cannot accept photography, digital or iPad art as a medium for a number of reasons.
- This event will go ahead even if there is poor weather (no refunds) – so please dress appropriately!
- There are 100 tickets available for this event and they need to be purchased in advance.
- Participants will need to bring their own paper, canvas and art supplies. These will not be provided.
- Please be mindful that this is a busy town and even though it is quieter on a Sunday there will be visitors keen to see work in progress so please be aware of trip hazards (easel legs protruding, etc).
- TAKE 4 cannot take responsibility for accident, damage or loss.
