LEARN TO WRITE FLASH FICTION
Flash fiction is a tiny piece of writing with a big punch – not unlike poetry, you have to think about it. Come and find out how to read and write these micro-fictions.
Cheryl Powell is a published flash fiction and short story writer, nominated for the Pushcart Prize by the Liars’ League. You can listen to her story Worldly Goods on www.liarsleague.com June 2022, performed by actor Tony Bell, or read her latest flash Choosing Meat at www.coffinbell.com. Vol. 6.Issue 1.
This upbeat session will cover:
- Defining flash fiction, discussion and examples.
- Prompts and writing time
- Crafting and editing your work
- An opportunity to read your work in a supportive environment, if you wish to.
Please bring writing materials, laptop or tablet and enjoy the time to write, get to know other writers, and receive supportive feedback, if you would like it.
(Please contact director@ledburypoetry.org.uk if you need a subsidised place on this workshop)
