Chloe GarnerJoin us for the first in a series of insights from industry professionals brought to you by Creative Pathways in the Shire.

We start with Chloe Garner, Artistic Director of Ledbury Poetry.

Chloe Garner is Director of Ledbury Poetry, where she has worked for 17 years and is responsible for the artistic vision of the organisation, including Ledbury Poetry Festival. Chloe Garner has judged Prizes (Costa Prize, OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature), speaks on panels at conferences and festivals around the world, and built the organisation into what it is today. Simon Armitage, Poet Laureate says,  “Ledbury is very important on the poetry map, increasingly so in recent years as it’s become more international in its focus and more diverse in its offer. It is now a powerful force in the world of poetry.”

Chloe Garner has also worked at The Charleston Trust, with responsibility for heritage management and interpretation where she won a prestigious Sandford Award for Heritage Education and launched the Small Wonder: Short Story Festival. She was Publicity Officer for The Wordsworth Trust and taught English in Japan as part of the JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme).
